The centre of our activities is the greater district town of Schramberg in the Black Forest, Germany. Here, in what was once the hub of Black Forest clock production, the spirit of invention and industry has long prevailed. A hundred years ago, in an area which housed a burgeoning clock industry, the town was filled with a sense of a new era about to dawn. All over the town, in its garages, sheds and back rooms, small businesses were being founded to supply the large Schramberg clock factories- of which Junghans is probably the most renowned. Against this backdrop, HECO was also founded. Over time, Schramberg became a centre for metal processing and fine mechanics.
A location is as good as you make it. As a medium-sized family company with a long history, we have spent 125 years shaping the ideal HECO location. How is that possible? Well it's quite simple really: because our strength lies in the development and production of screws, we have nurtured and built on that expertise. This expertise is in the heads of our employees. Our major asset is therefore the people that bring their in-depth knowledge to our production and development. And because these people are deeply rooted in this location, so are we. Our roots are here in Schramberg – as is our future.
