Shaping, sawing and screwing will be performed this summer at European level again. The European Carpentry Championship starts on the 5th of July, the European Timber Construction Championship. It will be held as part of DACH+HOLZ International 2022 in Hall 7 of the Cologne exhibition center.
Seven Nations will compete to determine the best carpentry nation and the best carpenter in Europe. The German team will meet skilled carpenters from France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Hungary. For the first time, a young Dutch carpenter is also taking part in the competition. As usual, there will be a team and an individual classification. As the highlight of DACH+HOLZ International 2022, the European champion will be crowned on Friday, July 8th in the individual and team rankings. The young carpenters demonstrate during the four days at the fair, their expert handling of the construction material timber as a building material. They will have to perform challenging timber constructions in a clearly defined time frame, which are then evaluated by a European jury of experts. The vocational competition is supported by numerous sponsors, including HECO.
As manufacturer of high end screws with production plants in Germany and Europe we are closely associated with timber construction. “Creating excitement with connections” is our mission which can be transferred to the national carpentry team but also to the European Carpentry Championships. The members of the national carpentry team never cease to amaze with their new achievements. Not only connections between timbers are performed, as in a strong team connections for life are made, which can be seen at various occasions. We wish the participants of the EM, that they can experience the competition full of enthusiasm and create many new connections within the framework of the sportive competition.
